The International Arabic Competitions are organized for high school students from non-Arab countries who learn Arabic as a foreign language. There are two main categories:

  1. Arabic Poetry Recitation Competition:
    • Participants memorize and recite Arabic poems selected by the Competition Organization Committee.
    • The preliminary selection is conducted via video submissions.
    • Each school can nominate only one student.
    • Participants must not be Arab nationals, native Arabic speakers, or students in Arabic-medium schools.
    • Students must upload their video submissions to the competition application system by May 18, 2025.
    • Five students will be invited to the International Finals in Istanbul on June 18, 2025.
    • The Turkish national winner will also compete, making a total of six finalists.
  2. Arabic Knowledge Competition:
    • Schools participate in teams of four students.
    • Team members’ details must be registered in the application system.
    • Participants must not be Arab nationals, native Arabic speakers, or students in Arabic-medium schools.
    • Students take an online test with 80 questions on May 21, 2025.
    • Each student takes the test individually, and the team’s total score determines the school’s ranking.
    • The top three teams worldwide and the Turkish national winner qualify for the International Finals in Istanbul.
    • The final round is a face-to-face competition with 20 main and 5 backup questions.
